Calculus is the mathematical study of continuous motion, and it helps us understand the natural world, with applications in physics, engineering, biology, and more. I tutor both regular Calculus and AP Calculus AB.

Who This Is For
Students in standard Calculus, AP Calculus AB, or honors Calculus, who want support paced to their class and an understanding of the ideas rather than memorized steps.
What a Session Looks Like
Every session starts with a quick check-in on what is due next, then we work real problems together over Zoom, paced to the coming unit. I send parents summary emails so you always know what we covered and what comes next.
Rather than have my students memorize the formulas and theorems, I like to help them see the inherent beauty in calculus. I motivate them by having them use their imagination to visualize a two-dimensional object revolving around an axis, or how a slope field can represent a function on a graph.
I tutor both regular Calculus and AP Calculus AB. The AP test has both multiple-choice and free-response questions (FRQs). The latter are usually the most difficult and require the right kind of preparation to do well on the test.
